About Us

Adult Family Health Services has been a presence in the Clifton community since 2003.  We are proud to be able to provide services to those with severe and persistent mental illness and addiction disorders in a safe, private, and secure residential neighborhood.  We are committed to promoting access to needed care, and for this reason have continued to provide door-to-door transportation to individuals in partial care programs from an expanded geographic area including but not limited to Clifton, Passaic, Paterson, Newark, Wayne, and Garfield.  We provide services in an embracing and family-like atmosphere, and therefore we chose “Adult Family” to figure prominently in our name.  We are proud that our consumers are frequently our number one referral source, and that consumers can graduate and return again in times of needed support.

Our
Values and Mission Statement

We are a readily accessible multi-service behavioral health organization focused on meeting the mental health and substance treatment needs of clients in order to promote interpersonal, social, family, and vocational functioning. Treatment is individualized, strengths-based, and emerges from client-agency partnership.

  • We are committed to preventing gaps in services to individuals with behavioral health needs by immediately responding to requests for services, and by providing ongoing outreach to the community.

  • We are invested in developing the skills and talents of our staff as it is from this foundation that we are best able to recognize and build from client strengths.

  • We understand that mental health and substance use challenges can present differently for each individual and that the path to recovery is unique with regard to the appropriate course and duration of services provided by Adult Family Health Services.
