Mental Health Partial Care Program
The AFHS Partial Care is a program designed to promote healthy and productive community living for individuals with mental health Emergency Department and/or mental health inpatient unit contact, or those at risk of hospitalization without solid support. We are a team of professionals who offer group and individual support, medication management and case management services. For those with substance use challenges, a daily co-occurring group is built-in to daily services. Door-to-door transportation is provided from Newark, Clifton, Passaic, Paterson and other outlying areas. Program is held Monday-Friday from 8:15-2:40. Breakfast and lunch are provided.
Mental Health Outpatient Program
The AFHS MH Outpatient Clinic provides weekly individual therapy, and access to a mental health prescriber, if needed. Intakes are performed in person. Services can commence in person or through telehealth. Service is focused on managing any disruptive symptoms, and promoting identification and actuation of personal goals.
SUD Intensive Outpatient Program
The AFHS IOP is an evening program designed to assist individuals who are experiencing substance use which impacts quality of life, relationships or ability to fulfill desired roles and goals. Medication Assisted Recovery including Vivitrol and Suboxone, are available. We welcome individuals with co-occurring mental health challenges, and participants have access to a mental health prescriber. Programming includes group Monday, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 8:30pm, and weekly individual therapy scheduled at your convenience. Psychiatric care, if needed, is also scheduled on an individual basis
SUD Outpatient Program
The AFHS SUD Outpatient program is designed for individuals with substance use challenges who have had some success with sustaining recovery, but who still can benefit from support. Frequently, graduates of IOP programs will step down to outpatient services. Our program offers group work, individual therapy, Medication Assisted Recovery including Vivitrol and Suboxone, and access to a mental health prescriber. Therapy and group work frequency can be tailored to meet your needs.
Payment for Services
We accept New Jersey Medicaid, selected plans of Horizon BCBS, Amerihealth/Magellan, Beacon Health Options, Multiplan, Out-Of-Network benefits from all other insurance carriers, and Self Pay. We accept major credit cards. As a courtesy, we will check your benefits for you prior to your appointment; however, please remember that you are responsible to check your coverage benefits with your insurance carrier for more accurate information about your benefits.
