Substance Abuse Disorder Intensive Outpatient Program

Welcome to the AFHS Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), an evening program meticulously designed to provide comprehensive support to individuals grappling with substance abuse, seeking a transformative path toward improved quality of life, enhanced relationships, and the fulfillment of desired roles and goals. At AFHS, we understand the complexity of substance use challenges and are dedicated to offering a holistic and personalized approach to recovery.

Our Comprehensive Program Features:

  1. Evening Program for Flexibility: The AFHS IOP operates in the evening hours, recognizing the diverse commitments individuals may have during the day. Our program runs on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, allowing participants the flexibility to engage in treatment without disrupting their daytime responsibilities.

  2. Medication Assisted Recovery: We provide Medication Assisted Recovery options, including Vivitrol and Suboxone, as part of our comprehensive approach to substance use treatment. Our experienced medical professionals work collaboratively with participants to determine the most suitable and effective medication-assisted interventions for their unique needs.

  3. Inclusive Approach to Co-Occurring Challenges: The AFHS IOP welcomes individuals with co-occurring mental health challenges. We recognize the interconnected nature of substance use and mental health and offer integrated support to address both aspects of your well-being. Participants have access to a mental health prescriber to ensure a holistic and coordinated treatment plan.

  4. Group Therapy Sessions: Our programming includes group therapy sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. These sessions provide a supportive and collaborative environment where participants can share experiences, learn coping skills, and build a sense of community with others on a similar journey.

  5. Convenient Individual Therapy: We prioritize the individual needs of our participants by offering weekly individual therapy sessions scheduled at your convenience. This personalized approach allows for deeper exploration of personal challenges, goals, and strategies for sustained recovery.

  6. Psychiatric Care on an Individual Basis: Recognizing the importance of psychiatric care in certain cases, we provide access to psychiatric services on an individual basis. Our team works closely with participants to assess their mental health needs and schedule psychiatric care as needed for a more targeted and tailored approach to treatment.

At AFHS, we believe in the transformative power of comprehensive and compassionate care. Our IOP is designed to empower individuals to overcome substance use challenges, regain control of their lives, and build a foundation for lasting recovery. Whether you are seeking group support, individual therapy, or medication-assisted recovery, our dedicated team is here to guide you on your journey towards a healthier and more fulfilling life.
